Good day, partygoers! Jorel here, and I’m not just saying “good day” for any old reason. Today really is a good day. A very special day, in fact! Today is Bailey Day’s birthday! Woohoo! Say it with me everyone. On 3. Ready?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BAILEY DAY!!!

It’s Bailey Day’s 20th birthday. She’s lived a life two whole decades in the making, and she has accomplished a lot during that time. She has told so many stories and written down so many more; it’s as if Bailey Day was born to be an author. And she has grown into a fine author, let me tell you! And what’s more, this is only the beginning! Life only gets better from here, and I can’t wait to see where Bailey Day takes hers next!

By the way, did you catch what happened to Bailey Day a couple of days ago? A short story of hers was published in a magazine! Remember that one blog post where I gave you the news about the short story contest that Bailey Day won during the PNWA? Well Bailey Day’s story, H.O.U.S.E., was so good that Suspense Magazine, the same company that helped Bailey Day publish The Amazing Imagination Machine, has decided to publish H.O.U.S.E. in the latest issue of their magazine. Not too shabby of a birthday present, if you ask me. And it’s free to read online! Finally! If you ever want to know what an award-winning short story looks like, just head to Suspense Magazine’s website, click on the magazine cover and turn to page 38. I’m sure it would mean a lot to Bailey Day if you took the time to read it.

Well, I wish I could type more, but I’ve got to begin the celebration preparations. It’s probably for the best. I do tend to drag on and on and on with these things. If you haven’t wished Bailey Day a happy birthday yet, then why are you still here? Go and wish her the best moving forward!

This has been your guy Jorel, and if you’ll allow me, I’ve got to go and make sure that my sister isn’t trying to steal an early peek of her birthday gifts.

Stay healthy, everybody.

Jorel signing out.
