Exactly one month from today, my book, The Amazing Imagination Machine, will turn one year old! It’s hard to believe that this book of mine has been out for almost an entire year! And I want to celebrate!
How do we celebrate a world of fictional characters? That’s easy. Did you read my book and have any questions? Well, now is the time to ask them, to my characters!
For the next few weeks, I want you to ask questions to my characters! Did you read the book and ask “Hey Jake, what’s so scary about this Toy Master guy?”, now you can ask. Every question asked, I will answer the way my characters would do so if they were really asked this question.
If you have a question for a specific character, please indicate it by saying their name first and foremost. Such as “Matthew, how can I have such fabulous hair like you?” or “Lawn Shark, how come your movie wasn’t an A film, I mean, really.” If you can’t think of a question for a specific character, ask something anyway. You can ask a general question such as “Why is the sky blue?” and I will pair it up with the character I think will give you the best response.
But it only gets better. Think of this as a sort of contest, because for my top six favorite questions I will draw the response as well. Everyone will get their questions answered, but my absolute favorite questions will get drawn, maybe with YOU included with my characters! The ones I pick for drawing will more than likely be the clever questions, or the ones that tickle my funny bone, or the ones that I really didn’t think about when I was writing the book.
If you want to ask my characters a question, post now! I will be accepting any and all questions from November 4th (Now) until November 25th at midnight. We’ll be celebrating AIM’s birthday the entire week of December 2nd – December 7th! So I can choose which questions will get drawn and have them ready, I will be closing questions after November 25th so I can prepare for the special week ahead.
Haven’t read the book? No problem. Ask a question anyway, to a character or in general. (But, like, you can buy it here; http://a.co/d/5RGiS7S, which of course I encourage because I’m the author).
Can’t remember who all the characters are? Again, no problem. Go to my homepage of this website and you will find a list of all the characters in my book, as well as what they look like. So you can ask something like “JoJo, why did you have to be orange?” and he will respond.
Additional Facts:
- You don’t have to buy the book, or even have read it, to participate.
- You can ask as many questions as you want! But be aware, if you do ask several and I like one of your questions, I will only draw one of your questions. I don’t want to have all six of the questions I illustrate be from the same person!
- This is free. Completely.
- I will be posting this on my social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Blog). You can ask questions anywhere that’s most convenient for you! Just look up ‘authorbaileyday’ and you’ll find me on any of those sights.
If you have any questions, please email me at authorbaileyday@gmail.com.
Help me make this online celebration a success! Tell your friends! Post of it on your social media! Encourage people to ask questions, even if they haven’t read the book. I think this can be fun if you help me by letting your own curiosity come forth.
