Bailey Day’s story writing began when she was insulted by a peer in 4th Grade, who told her she was only able to write “girly” stuff. As if a gauntlet had been thrown, that very same day she started writing about monsters and demons and has since filled hundreds of journals with incredible stories and ideas. Bailey has been working on her debut, “The Amazing Imagination Machine” for two years, starting out as a middle grade adventure and, after serious rewrites, coming to fruition as a Young Adult Thriller. Bailey lives in Washington State with her parents, her older brother, and her dog, Smoochy.

Jake’s hobbies include disobeying the speed limit, hanging out with his friends past his curfew, and avoiding his family as much as he can. But, after an accident forces him to spend the night the night at his uncle’s, he realizes that maybe he’s been a little bit selfish…

Best friends, though they are nothing alike. Matthew would, like, totally rather be at a party right now, man, and Dean really wants to be the valedictorian of his high school. But, they even each other out with Jake being the balance between them.

Jake’s uncle, a famous horror writer with several of his books turned into successful blockbuster movies. He lives across the street from an old, abandoned toy factory and comes to the rescue when Jake and his family are in a bind. However, it seems that he doesn’t have the best relationship with the rest of his family…

April May is Jake’s younger sister and JoJo is her best friend! Well, imaginary friend. The two are practically inseparable. They both know all the words to every song in Princess Oblivia-The Movie, enjoy chalk drawings, and admire Jake for the wonderful big brother he is.

Susie happily lives next door to Uncle Mark, because she loves every one of his books. She enjoys Halloween, a good read, and has amazingly long, red, curly hair that she refuses to cut.

Jake’s worst nightmare that he accidentally brings to life when passing through The Amazing Imagination Machine. Now, the Toy Master is trying everything in his power to kill Jake. But, what could the Toy Master possibly hope to gain by murdering him?

A giant teddy bear who lives in the old, abandoned toy factory. He’s helpful, kind, and yes, a giant, living teddy bear, and his age is starting to catch up with him.

A monster created from The Amazing Imagination Machine. This fearsome mosquito is the antagonist in one of Uncle Mark’s books entitled Atomic Number 86, and it seems like someone was a little too afraid of the story.

Lawn Shark is the star of the movie with the same title. The movie is complete with choppy graphics, unrealistic shark attacks, and stupendously bad acting. By no means should anyone be afraid of this guy, but he is someone’s worst nightmare come to life.

CHAINSAW MAN
A fearsome, wooden creature with chainsaws instead of hands. According to the movie he’s featured in, he has a bad habit of murdering anyone who gets in his way. It’s a good thing he’s slow, bulky, and really sensitive to bright lights.

Jake’s mom and Uncle Mark’s sister. She does what she thinks is best for her son, enforcing strict restrictions for Jake’s benefit, no matter what he may think.
